Big Brother Chris
Below you'll read facts about my BBC. As his only little sister, I have had the amazing gift of him in my life. What I want you to know is how deeply compassionate he is, his true concern for others, and the support he has brought many artists throughout his career.
He is amazingly talented; from photography to painting, to writing to gardening. He has an amazing memory, a quick wit, and seems to have an endless recall of song lyrics.
What I hope you'll see is an amazing man making astounding differences in the lives of others through advocacy, support, and love.
Barb's Big Brother, Chris, is a retired attorney and consultant in the arts and entertainment field. He received his bachelor's from Cal Berkely and JD from Santa Clara University. He is glacially moving towards a Masters's in Marriage and Family Counseling, via coursework at Trevecca Nazarene University
He passionately advocates for those who suffer from abuse, trauma, addiction, and mental and behavioral health challenges, having walked each of those roads. As lead plaintiff, he settled a three-year, multimillion-dollar class-action lawsuit against Aetna for their wrongful denial of depression treatment claims. As both a survivor claimant and expert consultant, he has been substantively involved in the Boy Scouts of America sexual abuse scandal and subsequent multi-billion dollar bankruptcy.
He has been married to his lovely wife Holly, for thirty-five years and they live in Franklin, TN. They have two sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and Brooklyn, and Jon Hollis and Jane. Their middle son, Daniel, went to heave as a baby.
